We get it.
Cantonese can be difficult to hold on to.
Whether it's the language of your family, or the language of the place you call home, many children grow up understanding Cantonese, yet struggle to speak it with confidence.
They want to speak, but the words don't always come.
They want to learn, but don't know where to begin.
And as parents, we often share the same hope: to help the language become a natural part of everyday life.
廣東話並不容易傳承下去。
無論它是家人之間的語言，還是你生活所在城市的語言，很多孩子從小接觸廣東話，卻難以自然地用它表達自己。
想說，卻不一定說得出口。
想學，卻不知道從哪裡開始。
而作為家長，我們往往懷著同一個願望：希望這門語言，能自然地成為孩子生活的一部分。
The challenge isn't motivation.
The challenge is connection.
Most language resources focus on vocabulary lists, worksheets, and structured lessons. While these tools are valuable, memorising words alone is rarely enough for children learning Cantonese as an additional language.
Language becomes meaningful when it connects to real life.
When children can connect new words to their experiences, memories, interests, and relationships, language begins to belong to them.

大部分語言教材都以詞彙表、練習和課程為主。這些工具當然有價值，但對需要額外學習廣東話的孩子而言，單靠背誦詞語往往並不足夠。
語言只有連結生活，才會真正產生意義。
當孩子能把新學到的詞語，與自己的經歷、記憶、興趣和人際關係連結起來，語言才會慢慢成為他們自己的一部分。
What we believe
Language grows through use, not just study.
We believe children learn best when language is connected to something they already care about.

A small achievement worth remembering.
Because language is more than vocabulary.
It carries memories, builds relationships, and helps children understand where they come from.
語言是在使用中成長，而不只是學習中累積。
當語言與孩子在意的事物產生連結時，學習效果往往最好。
一次喜歡的晚餐。
一次家庭旅行。
一次和朋友大笑的時刻。
一件值得記錄的小成就。
因為語言從來不只是詞彙。
它承載記憶，連結人與人，也幫助孩子理解自己的文化與根源。
Why we built Pebby Journal
We didn't build another language app.
Nor did we want to recreate the classroom at home.
We simply wanted to create a place where children could write about their lives, at their own pace.
A place where language starts with experiences.
A place where words appear naturally through stories.
A place where progress can be seen, one page at a time.
Because the most meaningful words to learn are often the words children already want to say.
我們並不是想打造另一個語言學習 App。
也不是希望把課堂搬回家。
我們只是希望創造一個地方，讓孩子能用自己的步伐，記錄屬於自己的生活。
